June 13, 2016--day 5
Sorrento and a working farm/restaurant where we had an incredible dinner...
pulling in to Sorrento
Today we walked through town with many of the streets looking like this.

This is what they call a beach!
And this is what they call a farm is Sorrento. They use every last inch of space, growing things on shallow terraces. The olive trees here have a completely different shape from the trees in Alberobello because they have to grow up to get sunlight because they grow so close together.

I got to make a pizza in Italy! Well, I didn't make the dough, or the sauce, or the cheese...I got to assemble a a pizza in Italy. :)

I really enjoyed this dinner. Maybe it's because we're in Italy, maybe it's because the Italians know what they're doing, but the food just tastes so good. With these dishes, we were also served frittata, olives, fried eggplant, and a ricotta cake with a limoncello sauce--so so good.
