For Those About to Rock (or Follow Our Travels)

So apparently, over the course of the last few years of blogging, I have not made it clear that this blog is a two way means of communication. I thought for sure, each year as we got started, I invited folks to comment on the posts. Maybe I should be a little more forceful...don't be a lurker. Part of the fun of writing is getting feedback. Even if all you write is "lol," or "Wow, that looks good." Send news from home. Touch base. Say hello. Thanks.

Tonight is the eve of our departure. Tim and I both finished up at school today. This is the quickest turn around in our roadtripping history. Laundry is going. I'm cleaning up the house a little. Then tomorrow, we're out of Dodge (or Pacific). Tomorrow we will really be flying by the seat of our pants. The NBA playoffs are in Memphis this weekend, so there's not a hotel room to be found. In fact the closest one is about an hour and a half down the road. Instead of the original plan, which was to eat lunch and dinner in Memphis then spend the night, we may have to buzz through on the trip down, eat one meal, then move along. I'm not sure I want to hang out on Beale with the throngs that are in town for the basketball game. The beauty is (as always) we can play it by ear. That's all for the evening. Thanks for joining us. See you on the road!

Looking forward in seeing your pictures! My son wanted to become friends with you after I talked with him about your blog and your adventures. He has been wanting to do some traveling and likes to get others opinions on places they have visited. Have a fun and safe adventure.
