Sooo, yeah. I have vacation on the brain, can you tell? Forty-nine days until we leave for Alaska. I think what I'm most looking forward to is not having to make any decisions. This vaca will be different from all the rest. It might make for less interesting blogging since half the fun we had came from the adventure, but I'm still excited none-the-less. On a cruise/tour, or, in our case, a tour/cruise, the decisions are made before we ever leave. We may have a last minute change of plans or an additional side excursion, but essentially, we don't have to make any decisions (except maybe just how gluttonous we will be on the ship). I am really looking forward to that--the no decision making, not the gluttony--okay, maybe a little gluttony. That and all the totally awesome mountains, glaciers, whales, bear, moose...you get the idea.

Today was the last day of school (with kids, anyway) for Tim and me. This means everything slows down. It means it's time to breathe deeply and enjoy the hiatus from kids. It means time to catch up on sleep and friends and family and all the other things that don't get the time they deserve because working in education is non-stop. Time to soak it all in, and I have to say, in the words of some really rich ad executive, dah-dah-dah-dah-dah...I'm lovin' it!
