No coffee photos but The Coffee Roaster in Lincoln (air-roasted coffee) and Messenger coffee in KC were both good!

Okay, we have tried to love KC barbeque but it has never really hit the mark for us. Dalie's here in good ole' Valley Park has amazing ribs and really good burnt ends that are as good as any anywhere.

But we decided to keep trying. The original location of Joe's Kansas City BBQ was within striking distance. We went.

Tim got burnt ends and ribs; I got burnt ends and pulled pork--Joe's claim to fame. The verdict? We would go back for that BBQ. I liked the burnt ends better than Dalie's. (Tim did not.) We both liked Dalie's ribs better. And honestly, I've never ordered pulled pork at Dalie's so I had nothing to compare it to, but it was pretty darn good. The sleeper hit? We got banana pudding that Tim said was the best he's ever had. I wouldn't argue.

I've started laundry. We'll sleep in our own bed. It's good to be home. The only thing left is the package that will arrive on Thursday. :)
