Talk About Perspective and Scale

Can you see him*? Almost exactly in the middle? The repelling rope is a tiny little white line down the middle of the rock face. He's getting ready to repel. And my hands get sweaty just thinking about it. With a zoom lens on a camera or a pair of binoculars, you can see this little speck moving down the monolith. He is very, very difficult to see with the human eye. In fact, I really had a hard time seeing him without my camera. That's how big this gigantic block of granite is. This is El Capitan.

Look at the photo album to the right to see a few more photos of Yosemite. It really is amazing--and I don't mean, "Like, this sandwich is amaaazing." I mean amazing.

Our lunch consisted of some trail mix and a turkey sandwich that we split at Glacier Point--nothing special. We had In-n-Out again because we could. :) Hoping to get some good seafood on the coast.

*This could be he/him or it could be she/her. For the sake of not being clunky, I chose he/him.

When you get to San Francisco you need to try two things:

1. Petrale sole is a great tasting mild fish
2. https://www.itsiticecream.com/about-us It's an ice cream oatmeal cookie. I've only had the vanilla but it's a San Francisco treat.
