Fourteen Days

Time flies when you're having fun, right? It also flies when you're busy. My last post seems like eons ago even though it was only two weeks. I'd said to many people that the hardest part about summer school happens in the winter and spring when I have to recruit teachers and make sure I hit all my paperwork deadlines. I think I might have even said something like, "Oh, once summer school starts, it's a breeze--practically runs itself." What was I thinking? The first week was rough. That's all I'm going to say. This past week I was only there one day, and this coming week I'm not there at all. Thank goodness for colleagues who can cover for me.

More importantly, though, is what happens in two weeks. I'm talking two weeks to the day. We will get in car at the crack of dawn and start our adventure. Fair warning, the first day is usually not an adventure so much as it is getting as far away from Missouri as we can in a car in one day...Texas here we come!

Can't wait for "our" trip to begin! I know "we" will have fun. Wonder what we're going to eat.
