Welcome Back!

It's July--what else would the Bransons be doing but traveling? I am officially on vacation from being an assistant principal. It was another successful school year for both me and Tim. Tim finished up in late May; I ran summer school at Southwest, which finished up July 2. We're currently planning and packing.

As many of you know, we originally planned a trip to Alaska--7 days on land, 7 day cruise. We were on a waiting list, but didn't make the final cut. Soooo...we made alternate plans. If you noticed the new header (courtesy of Tim, who has acquired some mad Photoshop skills that I really didn't know about), the title should clue you in as to where we will be traveling. We're headed south...kind of like we headed west in '07. The itinerary is loose, but we hope to hit Charlotte, North Carolina, to see Craig; (Kathey's out of town;) Charleston, South Carolina; Savannah, Georgia; maybe parts of the oily gulf, New Orleans, Louisiana, parts of Alabama because I have family there; and Memphis if we have time.

For those who have never joined us before, here's how it works: I try to write something at the end of each day to chronicle the journey; Tim and I both take pictures to show you what I'm talking about. The photo posts are to the right under 2010 photo album. Oh, and pleeassseee, if you're viewing, leave an occasional comment so we know who is following--besides, it's nice to hear from "home."

So tomorrow morning, we begin. The little-Honda-CR-V-that-could will go one more round. We hope to make Gatlinburg, Tennessee tomorrow, then Charlotte by Monday. Join us for the adventure, won't you?

Can't wait for the first post. Just a reminder from your previous trips, flex and point so you don't get deep vein thrombosis. Love the new header. Good job, Tim. Be safe and have fun.
