The End

We slept in today in Memphis as we continue to slow down a bit so that I am refreshed and ready to go back to work on Tuesday. At 11:00 we figured we'd eat BBQ one more time (really only the 3rd) before we left. We ate at The Pig on Beale. It was almost as good as Interstate and better than Rendezvous. We didn't get a picture, but honestly, ribs don't look all that different anyway. We rolled into St. Louis around 4:30, unloaded the CR-V, and started to unpack. I went to the grocery store and loaded up on fruits, vegetables, fish, and chicken. As good as barbecued pork (shoulder, rib, sausage), fried seafood, and lots of desserts tastes, it's certainly not a way of life. I've had my two weeks of overindulgence--now back on the wagon. To tell the true, the broiled fish and lots of broccoli tasted really good for dinner. : )

That's all for 2010! As before, I know many of you are reading but not commenting. Since this is the end, it would be nice if you left a short comment to let us know you were reading. Thanks and see you next time!

I enjoyed reading it everyday and have a taste for what goes on behind the scenes of a roadtripper.

Welcome home! I feel like I put on 10 lbs. just reading about the good ole Southern cookin' you all ate.

Charleston and Savannah are definitely on my list of 'must see' cities.

Please make your birthday dinner menu request to Mom soon--and make sure I'm included!

Love ya both and glad you had a safe trip.
