Today, we left Burlington, Vermont, by ferry across Lake Champlain. It was a leisurely one hour ride into the state of New York. As of yesterday, the only two states in the United States I have not visited (and I don't count airports) are North Dakota and Alaska. With in the next few years, we hope to go to Alaska. Who knows if we'll ever get to North Dakota. : )
When we got off the ferry, we headed to The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, New York. It was very cool to see all the memorabilia--bats, balls, uniforms, and all things baseball. My favorite area, though was the actual Hall of Fame. If we had a few more days, we might have stayed for the 2009 inductees who will be inducted on Saturday. The pictures today are the plaques of Cardinal Hall of Famers--I've seen all but Stan Musial play. There are several other Cardinals in the Hall; all of the names are familiar, but they have little meaning to me. I even remember seeing Bob Gibson pitch in the early seventies. Stan the Man is still a part of St. Louis baseball even if I didn't get to see him play. Tim has more extensive pictures that he'll post later.
Tomorrow, we'll see Niagara Falls then start the long journey home. See you soon!
