Missouri in the spring

The dogwoods are beautiful this time of year. If the weather had cooperated last week, we could have taken pictures of them in full bloom; however, the unpredictability and swift change in Missouri weather meant that last weekend was cold and dreary while this one was perfect. We had to hunt a little harder to find trees that weren't already greening up.

Today, Tim and I wandered around Babler State Park. This is the first outing of the year to get us geared up for our summer trip. I am a few pounds lighter and have been exercising since November so this short hike was nothing. Even the hills didn't seem so bad!

And oh--next year, I will be the administrative intern at Parkway Southwest Middle School. I am very excited. The position will also allow us to take our trip as planned in the month of June. We still don't have exact dates, but we know we will leave a little after school's out.
