Our Day in Florence in Pictures

June 23--day 16

Walking tour, then a couple of hours on our own, some shopping, a wicked awesome porchetta sandwich, the David, and an awesome dinner at a Tuscan villa turned into a restaurant!

first glimpse of the duomo

We walked by this place on the walking tour. We went back for lunch. See picture below.

Teri, this one's for you. There are TONS of motorbikes on the road. They drive like maniacs!

la prochetta

translated--roast pork with a porcini mushroom cream, truffle cram, tomatoes, eggplant "relish" and some arugula--fantastic
really big doors--they're everywhere
just a couple of years ago, they started letting people take pictures of Michelangelo's masterpiece

seventeen days with these good people (minus the leaf) at our Tuscan feast

incredible assortment of salads, grilled vegetables, bruschetta

ravioli stuffed with ricotta and spinach with a truffle cream sauce--my favorite pasta of the trip

Tim's mixed grill--pork, beef, chicken, sausage, and lamb with roasted potatoes
my T-bone

a really smooth and creamy panna cotta and chocolate cheesecake
On our way home from dinner, we got a great view of the city.
